Its one failure after the other for the Secret Service, I suggested that the entire Secret Service be re-structured after their failure to Protect then President G.W. Bush from a shoe thrower, but since then The Secret Service have proven themselves to be incompetent and incapable of sufficiently Protecting The Leader of The Free World. The President Should accept the Forced resignation of the Director (or whatever Title the head of the Secret Service holds) and totally re-vamp the entire organization. This latest Failure could be considered a test for getting nefarious entities close to the President. In the past, these type tactics were used to discriminate against people of color, they cannot be used now to make amends for the past. The only thing we as people of color need is assurances and laws to keep these pratices from happenening to anyone. We excel in life and society naturally when left unhindered, these practices that are intended to correct past injustices (as used in this article) only serves to insult people of color and to infuriate and empower those who seek out reasons to fan the flames of racial hatred.

How noble of so many to believe that they are so advanced and have achieved nirvana by shutting off their cell phones or rejecting technological advances. Sure there are some down sides such as limiting personal contact, but progress will happen, come along or not. I avoided getting a micro wave for years until I realized that I could enjoy the benefit of it without becoming totally dependent on it. Today nearly every household has one and yet stoves and cook tops still exist in every modern kitchen. I own an iphone and have found it a great and necessary tool, not a toy. Sure I have many entertaining apps on my iphone. I also use it for accessing news websites (which allows me to locate just what I need without wasting the time of browsing through nonsense), Banking, Shopping, Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Social Networking, E-mail both personal and business, Travel, Research, etc. etc As long as you are using the device puposely there is no danger of it taking your soul.

d'Armond Speers, a Minnesota man, spoke only Klingon to his son for the first three years of his child's life, the Minnesota Daily reports.
Speers says that he spent the first few years of his son's life speaking to him in the invented language of the alien race featured in the series "Star Trek" in order to better understand how children learn languages. Meanwhile, Speers' wife continued to address the child in English.
He told the Minnesota Daily,
I was interested in the question of whether my son, going through his first language acquisition process, would acquire it like any human language. [...] He was definitely starting to learn it.
Speers reports he "still gets nostalgic when he recalls singing the Klingon lullaby 'May the Empire Endure'" with his son.

Wired reported on Speers' language experiment in a 1999 article in which Speers described the challenge of speaking to his infant son given that the Klingon alphabet lacked words such as "diaper" and "bottle."
The article notes,
So Speers found himself using "thing which is flat" for table. "Alec very rarely spoke back to me in Klingon, although when he did, his pronunciation was excellent and he never confused English words with Klingon words," Speers says.
Eventually, Speers gave up on Klingon communication, saying that his son "stopped listening to me when I spoke in Klingon" and "it was clear that he didn't enjoy it, and I didn't want to make it into a problem."
His son, now in high school, doesn't speak a word of Klingon, according to the Minnesota Daily.
Despite his interest in Klingon, Speers says he's not a Star Trek fanatic.
I don't go to 'Star Trek' conventions, I don't wear the fake forehead. [...] I'm a linguist.

This is no doubt a case of small town Politics and over zealous if not corrupt or at least incompetent Police officers. I encounter dozens of people like Ms Ellis monthly in Supermarkets, Department stores, and Convienence stores. They are impatient, rude, and even disrespectful. At times these encounters end up in heated arguments (never with me), but not once has it ended in an arrest or fist fight. Much less a trial with charges that carry a hefty prison term. This story should read "Police arrest line jumper under charges of disturbing the peace", but instead these supposedly professional law inforcement officers turned a simple disturbance into a national protest; scarring the reputation of an entire town. Ms Ellis should get community service as a check out girl/women at the same store where she created the disturbance and the incompetent cops should be fired.

More Empty and ridiculous words from the Man who placed NYC's Emergency Command Center in a High Profile Terrorist Targeted Building, and then allowed it to be detroyed during his watch. He has no chance at any relevent position in Politics today.


WASHINGTON (Associated Press) -- The former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, says putting suspected Sept. 11 terrorists on trial in New York City places residents there at unnecessary risk.
Giuliani tells CNN's "State of the Union" that a more appropriate choice would be military tribunals for the terror suspects. He says that option recognizes that the U.S. is at war with Islamic terrorists.
Giuliani was mayor of New York when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
Attorney General Eric Holder says he decided to bring the suspects to trial in New York because of the nature of the undisclosed evidence against them, because the 9/11 victims were mostly civilians, and because the attacks took place on U.S. soil.

BLACK TO THE BACK

Its funny how so many can quickly dismiss blatant racism and chalk in up as some sort of thoughtless mistake. Beyond the racist act of omitting the black couple, what about the act of putting the only couple of color out of four diminished and in the background. This is an old trend and it tells me that the advertisers are afraid of loosing revenue from one segment of the population (by offending them with viewing another culture of people considered to be inferior in an equal setting), yet secured that offending another segment will be tolerated and/or overlooked. The not so recent pratices of charging someone with playing the race card whenever a person of color cries foul to blatant or hidden racist acts is relied upon to make people hesitant of confronting these acts. No different than claming that a Jew is too sensitive when he precieves and confronts an anti semitic statement or act. As long as people of conscience continue to rush to the defense of the people who engage in these acts and statement, perpetrators will continue to have cover and will not hesitate to repeat them.

Once again the so called News Media goes for the quick, Darling story of the litttle cop that could (not to belittle Kimberly Munleys actions or her part in bringing down the Fort Hood Gunman). As usual there was absolutely no investigative reporting, just someone asking anyone questions and writting it down to be fed as soon as possible to the hungry public. This story sidestep the presses own responsibilty for what it puts out and blame the military for eroneous information. I've personally witness the press avoid finding out the truth when a juicier story was readily available from a quotable source. Its no wonder why news has become entertainment instead of information. usually after hearing a story for the first time i can easily recognize when something just doesnt make sense; and usually after a few days that story magically morphs into something else without explanation.

President Obama has made major efforts to reach out to people of different faiths and nationalities to ease tensions around the globe. These efforts have achieved extremely quick results. The United States has had a dramatic increase in positive World opinion, despite the continuation of the divisive atmosphere (created and fueled during the Bush Administration) propagated by extreme elements in the so called Press and the lunatic conservative fringe. Its disturbing that a high level Military Staff member would voice concerns of a Muslim backlash (as if it was'nt his job and the job of other high ranking officer to see that it would not happen), when his time would be best spent educating, and counciling members of the military affected by this tragedy; and severly disciplining any service member who would commit any crime in some misguided attempt of retribution. Hopefully these new developments at the Fox Faux News station will help more reputable "news" outlets to see how misguided their support of Fox is.

Please people, I went to the polls early this morning and the turn out is dismal at best. When Barack Obama won, the same poll was lined wall to wall, Barack Won. I dont understand how people can see the results of their vote and then fall back asleep. How do you take a course of action, have great success, and then accept failure without taking action the next time. I know BB is a 12-16 point favorite, but you can prove the polls wrong. Go vote now, excercise your right, dont miss out and complain for the next 4 years about your water bill, parking tickets, rising mass transit prices, property taxes, dissapearing sky lines, high sales taxes, etc. etc.
